    Responsibilities

    Provide paralegal and administrative support to Law Department attorneys (in different geographical locations) for commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, commercial litigation and revenue cycle matters

    • Under the direction of Law Department attorneys, draft contracts (including non-disclosure agreements, medical director agreements, termination agreements and employment separation agreements) and assist in the creation and maintenance of company approved standard forms and template contracts.
    • Draft contract termination letters.
    • Provide administrative support such as tracking contracts through their lifecycle from intake through execution, prioritizing contract requests, and providing reporting as necessary.
    • Assist with managing contract workflow and online contract request system for internal clients.
    • Provide legal support for various transactions including acquisitions and joint ventures.
    • Assist with due diligence investigations and maintaining electronic data rooms.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders using interpersonal skills and diplomacy.
    • Work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned based on legal and company priorities.

    Qualifications

    Education/Licensing/Certification:

    • Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Paralegal certificate required.

    Experience:

    • 5+ years of paralegal experience or other related experience.
    • Prior contract review and drafting preferred, including working with a contract database.
    • Prior in-house legal experience preferred.
    • EMS, healthcare or managed care experience preferred.

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

     

    • Duties require the employee to regularly reach with hands and arms; speak and hear
    • Duties require the employee to sit for long periods of time, and frequently stand, and walk
    • Specific visions abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
