    The Manager of Outreach and Education will be responsible for the overall management of the program’s marketing, outreach and educational activities specific to a geographic region. The Manager is responsible for year over year same base flight growth through the leadership of existing program personnel, marketing creativity and drive. This activity will include the successful direction of outreach, marketing and educational activities with receiving and referral hospitals, agencies, and the execution of preferred provider agreements and first call agreements as necessary

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure the Med-Trans program is a considered the appropriate first call for transport service to improve patient outcomes.
    • Negotiate the Med-Trans program as an alternative to existing suppliers or other neighboring programs in improve patient outcomes.
    • Manage preferred provider agreement negotiations and work with legal counsel as required.
    • Develop, implement, and lead the annual marketing and initiatives plan for the transport program.
    • Increase the number of Preferred Provider Agreements for the programs.
    • Initial contacts may require cold-calling skills and techniques.
    • Conduct marketing calls to 911 agencies and to hospitals to increase year-over-year flight requests for the assigned program(s).
    • Act as an outreach and education liaison between the program and assigned referring agencies to ensure effective communication.
    • Attend appropriate tradeshows and conduct them in a professional manner as a representative of Med-Trans and the partnering health organization or flight program.
    • Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base.
    • Work collaboratively with partnering health organization’s outreach and business development leader to harmonize on messages being delivered to the referral area.
    • Develops and implements educational opportunities for physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, and outside medical services. Works with medical staff to identify needed programs and services. May assist with the development of other programs courses, and community medical education presentations.
    • Coordinate and conduct speaker and educational events on behalf of flight program to improve visibility of program and add value to customers served.
    • Manage overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management and brief senior management when required.
    • Gather and analyze flight request and transport trends to focus and adjust marketing approach.
    • Demonstrate fiduciary responsibility with Med-Trans assets, corporate credit cards, etc.
    • Spearhead business development initiatives that are in line with corporate strategic objectives and partnering hospital service lines.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Five years prior marketing, sales or operational experience, preferably in an aviation or medical-related field
    • Three years flight/aviation EMS industry experience preferred.
    • BS or BA degree required

     

    Perefered Skills:

    • MBA Preferred
